Situated in the heart of the Sintra Mountains, in the Várzea de Sintra, Páteo do Garrett has two magnificent rooms, with 120 and 50 seats, and a pleasant terrace with 40 seats. The atmosphere is typical and cozy and on the table reigns the good and traditional Portuguese gastronomy. The view is unobstructed, from here you can see the palace of Pena and the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park.

History

The Páteo do Garrett was born on February 13, 1998, in the town of Sintra. Its name is a tribute to the writer, novelist and playwright Almeida Garrett, who at the time was a frequent guest, where he drank his coffee and joined his friends for his usual prattle, during his stay in "Estalagem dos Cavaleiros", located right next door, today "Hotel Lawrence".

In February 2019, the Páteo do Garrett changes its location to the Várzea de Sintra, a beautiful and quiet village situated in the Sintra Mountains, with a beautiful panoramic view of the Pena Palace and Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, where you can get away from it all from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy our homemade food, made with local Portuguese elements and traditional.
